Dominic is an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. He began his legal career in 2015 with Messrs. Albar & Partners where he was engaged in the practice areas of dispute resolution and corporate finance. Subsequently, he joined Messrs. Ariff Rozhan & Co, a leading boutique and top-tiered dispute resolution law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Prior to joining TCC Law, he was a senior associate in Albar & Partners.

Dominic focuses largely on construction and engineering disputes which include, amongst others, project management consultancy, KTM railway tracks, telecommunication towers as well as design and structural related matters. He has also assisted in major litigation and forensic due diligence exercises on behalf of key clients.

Dominic also has extensive experience in contentious civil and contractual matters, gaming and wagering disputes and handling matters pertaining to share capital reduction, scheme of arrangements and non-contentious advisory matters.

He has represented clients in a variety of industries at all levels of the judicial system in Malaysia, including the Federal Court of Malaya.

Additionally, Dominic is also actively involved in the blockchain and cryptocurrency practice area, with several key engagements as set out under notable engagements.

  • Successfully advised and represented an award-winning architectural firm in adjudication proceedings for a dispute concerning the design of a chemical manufacturing factory;
  • Successfully advised and represented a leading scaffolding company in adjudication proceedings for a dispute concerning the development of oil refining facilities;
  • Successfully advised and represented a bank in resisting adjudication proceedings for a dispute concerning the construction of a governmental building for the Ministry of Telecommunication;
  • Successfully advised and represented a project management consultant and interior design firm in adjudication proceedings in relation to a dispute concerning the refurbishment of a renowned hotel in Kuala Lumpur;
  • Successfully advised and represented a telecommunications sub-contractor in adjudication proceedings for a dispute concerning the construction of tele-communication towers;
  • Successfully advised and represented a leading infrastructure main contractor in resisting the enforcement and procuring the setting aside/stay of an adjudication award, procuring a Fortuna Injunction and initiating arbitral proceedings in relation to the construction of KTM railway works;
  • Advised and represented a leading developer in disputes concerning the development of MET 1 Residences in KL Metropolis;
  • Advising and representing a Singaporean public listed company and its Malaysian subsidiaries in respect of a dispute concerning the supply and construction of IT infrastructures for a hospital in Malaysia;
  • Advised and represented an air-conditioning supplier and mechanical engineer for several disputes against a multinational main contractor;
  • Successfully advised and represented a public listed developer in the setting aside of an adjudication award;
  • Advised and represented a leading developer in Malaysia for a dispute concerning the imposition of back-charges against a former sub-contractor in court proceedings; and
  • Advised and represented a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong, in respect of the disposal and/or transfer of all assets, licences and rights in the cryptocurrency derivative trading platform a company incorporated under the laws of Belize;
